Helping good horsemen keep their horses comfortable and performance ready through intentional farriery.
Jenny is serious about her passions, and helping horses drives her to be a better farrier, businesswoman and human.
Jenny completed the first level of voluntary certification with the American Farriers Association in 2015. Jenny Graves, CF is her abbreviated title. She is working toward CJF, a higher level exam which requires skillful and efficient application of handmade shoes and in depth knowledge of anatomy and veterinary terminology. These skills are useful in a successful farrier practice. Please visit the American Farriers Association website for more information. This is a great opportunity for farriers to connect and learn from each other, and moves the industry forward through peer critique, education and accountability.
Multiple apprenticeships, from a single day to four years and more with several successful and unique farriers have allowed Jenny to gain knowledge, wisdom, and experience beyond her years. Learning to manage difficult cases, work with veterinarians and trainers, and manage a business well are assets she has gained during this training.
Jenny is more than a farrier. She is a horsewoman that deeply appreciates the value horses provide us with. They are our teachers, our partners, and our friends even in trying moments. She invests time in learning how to better serve horses and their humans. She enjoys connecting with horses as a farrier, and in the saddle. She has ridden and driven many breeds, and enjoys learning from the diverse and unique personalities horses possess. She wants to get to know her clients so she can customize their care.
